摘要 |
A process for forming a metal supported solid oxide fuel cell 10 comprises the steps of applying a green anode layer including nickel oxide and a rare earth-doped ceria to a metal substrate 1, pre-firing the anode layer under non-reducing conditions to form a composite, firing the composite in a reducing atmosphere comprising an oxygen source to form a sintered cermet 3, providing an electrolyte 4 and providing a cathode 5, 6. The reducing atmosphere preferably comprises an inert gas, a gaseous reducing agent that may be hydrogen, carbon monoxide or a combination thereof and a gaseous oxygen source that may be carbon dioxide, water vapour or combinations thereof. The nickel oxide and rare earth-doped ceria may be applied as an ink. Also disclosed is a metal supported solid oxide fuel cell 10 formed using the process. |
