An injection device having a release or locking mechanism, such as a retractable sleeve 506 for pressing against the skin of a user, provides a visual indication of the sliding sleeve 506 which may be a distinctive colour through an aperture 508,608 in a housing 502,602 as feedback to indicate to a user when the locking mechanism is moved from a locked position in which injection delivery is impeded to an unlocked position in which a trigger or actuator may be actuated to cause commencement of the injection sequence. The aperture may be located in various places of the housing, including adjacent the trigger. Alternatively, a protrusion which extends from the locking mechanism and may be a distinctive colour may engage a cut-out in the trigger in an unlocked position, acting as the visual indicator. |
