FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: in the disclosed method, liquid organic wastes are solidified by mixing with a polymer material followed by treatment. Polymers are added to a container with liquid organic wastes while stirring or polymer material is simply impregnated with a solution. The solidified composition is held in air at room temperature or high temperature. The next portion of the wastes is added to the solidified material after drying. If, besides organic liquids, the wastes contain an aqueous phase, a combination of different polymer materials is used. After one or more cycles for solidifying the liquid wastes, a thermal decomposition procedure is carried out in a closed volume, and a protective coating is then deposited on the ash residue.EFFECT: immobilising organic radioactive wastes of various composition without preliminary preparation, as well as reducing the amount of solidified wastes taken for storage.1 tbl, 4 cl |
