<p>Disclosed are a digital door lock capable of changing an input scheme of a password and a method of controlling the same. The digital door lock according to the present invention includes: a key input unit including a plurality of keys to allow a locking state to be released from an outside; a certification setting unit for setting a password input mode into either a general input mode or a calculation input mode according to information about a key firstly inputted through the key input unit; and a door lock control unit for releasing the locking state by reading out the information about the key inputted through the key input unit according to the set mode when the password input mode is set.
