1,112,451. Roof framework structures. R. J. HALLE. 22 Sept., 1965 [29 Sept., 1964], No. 40502/65. Heading E1W. A roof frame member, such as a rafter 45, and a supporting structure, such as a building framework including a hollow square sectioned column 34, are connected by means 30 comprising a body portion 36 on which is carried a bracket 42 having a sloping upper surface which receives the rafter 45. Brackets 42 may project laterally away from different sides of the body portion 36 to receive roof frame members disposed in various positions in the roof structure. The connecting means 30 sockets into the upper end of a device 31 which serves to connect a beam 33 to the column 34 as described in Specification 910,646. In the exemplified embodiment of Fig. 1, the roof comprises an overhanging part supported by an outrigger 55 which is secured to a sloping plate 56 extending from the connecting means in opposition to the bracket 42. The brackets such as 42 may be of V- or inverted V-shape to receive angle sectioned members extending along roof valleys or ridges. |
