<p>The present invention relates to a system and a method for controlling entry and exit to and from an airport security area. The method compares a facial image of a person, taken when a pass was issued to the person who enters and leaves the airport security area, with a facial image taken at a gate when the person enters, and allows the person to enter the security area when the person is confirmed to be the same person in the pass. When it comes to persons who have their own pass but are confirmed not to match their pass, the method controls entry and exit of those persons by referring to a facial image initially taken at the gate and acknowledging that the person is the same person when the person enters and moves to the security area. The method for controlling entry and exit to and from an airport security area according to the present invention comprises: (a) recording and storing a first facial image of a person taken when a legal pass is issued and biological information on a fingerprint image provided by scanning a fingerprint of the person; (b) recognizing the pass of the person; (c) checking whether the recognized pass is authorized; (d) when authorized, taking an image of the face of the person to acquire a second facial image; (e) comparing the acquired second facial image with the stored first facial image; (f) outputting a compared result and searching for illegal belongings when the faces match; and (g) outputting an alarm sound when the person carries the illegal belongings, or recording to store a search result when no illegal article is found.</p> |
