<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for processing the image of a vehicle. A method according to the present invention includes: a step of extracting the candidate region of a first recognition object and a second recognition object, respectively, in image data photographed by a camera; a step of controlling resolution with regard to the candidate region of the extracted first and second recognition objects, respectively; and a step of recognizing the first and second recognition objects, respectively, in the candidate region of the first and second recognition objects having controlled resolution. According to the present invention, the volume of data processing is reduced and the recognition performance of a recognition object, which a driver wants, can be improved.</p> |
