The present invention relates to a method for defining a view direction of a support production drawing and, more specifically, to a method for defining a view direction of a support production drawing, which automatically determines and generates an optimal view direction of a support to be mapped by using information on the support and a pipe that are designed by a ship design-dedicated CAD system to produce a support that supports a pipe installed in the ship. To achieve this, the method for defining a view direction of a support production drawing using a ship design-dedicated CAD system comprises the steps of: (a) modeling a support and a 3D model thereof using the CAD system; (b) determining an optimal view direction of the support according to a direction of a pipe by using information on the support and the pipe which are modeled by the CAD system; and (c) generating a view according to the determined view direction.
