The present invention relates to a variable capacity type swash plate compressor. A slot is formed in one of a pair of hinge arms. A groove is formed on one of a pair of connecting arms, and a hinge pin in installed in the groove. Only the hinge arm, where the slot is formed, and only the connecting arm, where the hinge pin is installed, are coupled to each other by the hinge pin. The other hinge arm without the slot and the other connecting arm touching the other hinge arm are formed to be in contact with each other through a complete surface without any disconnected part such as a slot and a groove. Therefore, the variable capacity type swash plate compressor can prevent stress concentration by inducing torsion force, applying to a swash plate, to be transmitted to a contact unit with a complete surface contact without disconnected part such as a slot and a groove, and can improve durability by reducing wear at the contact unit.
