A clip formed from a mouldable resilient material comprises a body 11 having a lower surface 13, an upper surface 12 and a substantially straight side edge 15, means 24 on the body for engaging a member 28 and a generally key-hole shaped slot 12 extending through the body from the lower surface to the upper surface and having a wide end portion 19, the length of the slot being inclined to the said edge of the body with the wide portion closer to said edge than the other end of the slot, whereby the part of the body located between the slot and said edge is generally wedge shaped, wherein one or more projections are provided on either the side of the slot adjacent the said edge of the body portion or the upper surface of the body adjacent an edge of the slot. In the construction shown there are three such projections 20, 21 and 22 which are provided on the side of the slot adjacent the edge 15 but a modification is described in which there are two projections in the form of ribs on the upper surface of the body and extending from the side of the slot adjacent the edge 15 to the edge 15. When this form of clip used there can in addition be two further projections aligned with the said two projections but on the upper surface extending from the other side of the slot; the means for engaging the member 28, as shown, is a resilient arm which projects outwardly from a side 14 of the body parallel to the side 15. A pair of flat resilient tongues 26 project outwardly and downwardly with respect to the lower surface from the side 14 and as shown the upper surface of the body includes a recessed portion surrounding the narrow portion of the slot and part of the wide portion. The clip is used with a headed stud 32 and the member 28 is then engaged between the tongue 24 and the tongues 26 the tongues 26 being disposed on a surface of an L-shaped support 29 to which the stud is secured. As shown the member 28 is a moulding which holds a glass panel 36 in place on the support 29, a seal 37 being interposed between the panel and the support. A plurality of the studs and clips are used for attaching the moulding 28 and the inclinations of the slots of the clips enable variations in the positions of the studs to be allowed for.
