<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for correcting context-sensitive spelling errors using a Korean lexico-semantic network, which may improve the performance of a Korean document corrector in a narrow sense by correcting context-sensitive spelling errors of the highest level in a Korean document correction process. The apparatus includes an input unit configured to input a sentence to search and correct context-sensitive spelling errors; a morpheme analysis unit configured to perform a morpheme analysis of separating phrases in morpheme units based on a morpheme analysis dictionary with respect to the sentence inputted by the input unit; and a context-sensitive spelling error processing unit configured to determine and correct context-sensitive spelling errors when there are morphemes applied with context-sensitive spelling error correction rules among the analyzed morphemes, wherein the context-sensitive spelling error correction rules are applied by finding the lowest common ancestor using Korean lexico-semantic network layer information, automatically extracting category information, and generalizing the context-sensitive spelling error correction rules.</p> |
