<p>The present invention relates to a novel use of Nardostachys jatamansi (NJ) and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating chronic pancreatitis or a food composition for preventing and alleviating chronic pancreatitis, wherein the pharmaceutical composition or food composition includes an NJ extract as an active ingredient. The composition of the present invention effectively controls chronic pancreatitis caused by caerulein and ethanol so as to be effectively used to prevent and treat chronic pancreatitis.</p> |
