The present invention relates to a lighting apparatus for removing residual light of a light emitting module. The lighting apparatus for removing residual light of a light emitting module includes: a rectifier which rectifies AC power to generate DC power; a light emitting module including at least one light emitting module unit serially connected to each other and to receive current necessary in light emission from the DC power; a current driver which receives DC power from the rectifier to control on/off of at least one of light emitting module units; and at least one charge/discharge device. The charge/discharge device includes a residual light removing unit connected in parallel to both ends of the different light emitting module units among the light emitting module.
