The present invention relates to a wire electrode for a cable secondary battery, the wire electrode comprising a wire current collector having recessed parts formed on the surface; and an electrode active material layer which is formed on the outer surface of the wire current collector and has an electrode active material, a conductive material and a polymer binder, and a cable secondary battery including the same. In the wire electrode for the cable secondary battery of the present invention, the wire current collector is uniformly attached to the electrode active material layer each other in a tight manner, which accordingly prevents the electrode active material layer from being separated from the wire current collector; secures the mechanical property and flexibility of the electrode; and prevents the separation of the electrode active material layer, which is caused by stress from external force according to the modification of the cable secondary battery or fast expansion volume of the electrode active material layer in a charging or discharging process, thereby preventing the reduction of battery capacity, which enables improvement of the initial efficiency and cycle life properties of the battery. |
