<p>The present invention relates to a flow control module for engine oil. The flow control module for engine oil comprises a housing, a main thermostat, a temperature-sensitive chamber, and a backup thermostat. The housing includes: an inlet part into which the engine oil flows; an oil cooler connecting part extended from the inlet part, and connected to an oil cooler; and an oil filter connecting part branched off from one side of the inlet part, and connected to an oil filter. The main thermostat installed in the oil filter connecting part controls connections between the inlet part, the oil cooler connecting part, and the oil filter connecting part by the temperature of the engine oil. The temperature-sensitive chamber installed in the housing is positioned to be collinear with the oil filter connecting part. The backup thermostat installed in the temperature-sensitive chamber is connected to the main thermostat through a connector penetrating the oil filter connecting part and the temperature-sensitive chamber. According to the present invention, the backup thermostat is capable of being operated to allow the engine oil to flow into the oil cooler even if the main thermostat malfunctions, so the temperature of the engine oil can be raised to prevent lubrication from being deteriorated suddenly.</p> |
