<p>The present invention relates to a composition for detecting a mercury ion including a compound represented by chemical formula 1, and a method for detecting a mercury ion using the same. The compound according to the present invention can detect a mercury ion with high sensitivity and selectivity, an optical change in the compound can be detected easily by a UV-Vis spectroscope, a fluorescence spectrometer, etc., and a separate complicated device is not needed.</p> |
