Disclosed are a method and a device for diagnosing disconnection in three-phase cables. The method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: switching multiple switching elements included in a switching unit which correspond to respective phases of three-phase circuits included in an output terminal in predetermined on or off states; supplying a current generated in an input terminal to the on or off-determined switching elements according to switching; detecting a current flow in the switching elements according to the supplied current; and determining an open-phase circuit among the three-phase circuits of the output terminal, wherein the on or off states of the switching elements are fixed while determining the open-phase circuit, thereby diagnosing disconnection in a phase.
