The present invention relates to a tread rubber composition and, more specifically, a tread rubber composition in which silica and a modified terpene phenol resin having a high softening point are applied, thereby making a hydrophilic group like a carboxyl group in a resin react with a silanol group on the surface of silica in a chemical or hydrogen bond and decreasing liquidity of the resin by increasing compatibility with a synthetic rubber by using phenol in the resin, leading to an improved grip functionality on wetting road without decreasing rotation resistance capacity.
