The present invention relates to an organic light emitting device where a dam is formed at an outer portion of an active region and capable of forming a multi-protective film (inorganic film/organic film/inorganic film) using one mask and one chamber and a method of manufacturing the same. The organic light emitting device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a plurality of Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) formed in an active region of a base substrate; a TFT array and a plurality of lines formed in the active region; a first protective film formed of an inorganic material to cover the OLED; a second protective film formed of an organic material to cover the first protective film; a third protective film formed of an inorganic material to cover the second protective film; a dam formed in non-emission region to surround the edge of the active region; an adhesive layer to cover the third protective film and the dam; and a sealing substrate adhered on the adhesive layer to seal the OLED.
