The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cardiomyopathy including kobophenol A as an active ingredient and, more specifically, a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cardiomyopathy, which inhibits phosphorylation of apoptosis regulators for a cardiac muscle cell in the heart induced by sodium nitroprusside and accordingly inhibits the activity of caspase-3 and the level of anti-apoptosis protein for mitochondria, thereby protecting the cardiac muscle cell from toxic materials for the heart caused by sodium nitroprusside.
