A method for executing multiple applications includes: checking whether a first application and a second application support a multi-window mode when the first application calls the second application upon execution of the first application; and executing the first and second applications in separate multi-window environments, respectively, when the first and second applications support the multi-window mode. Various embodiments may also be possible. Therefore, the convenience of multitasking may be improved.
