The present invention relates to an ultrasonic device for measuring carotid stiffness and a measurement method for the same. The method for measuring carotid stiffness according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: selecting a view of a blood vessel; displaying a vascular ultrasound image according to the selected view; setting a measurement area in the vascular ultrasound image; acquiring a first measurement value for the set measurement area in a first frame of the vascular ultrasound image; acquiring a second measurement value for the set measurement area in a second frame that is the next frame of the first frame; and measuring stiffness of the blood vessel based on a difference between the first measurement value and the second measurement value.
