<p>PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method for performing a designated task in the designated place are provided to increase the convenience of a user by supplying an alarm function to a user according to a place. CONSTITUTION: An operating unit designates an application according to a place from a user. A location sensing unit grasps a place where a mobile terminal is located. If the terminal is located at a designated place, a controller(180) executes the application designated to the place.
