The present invention relates to a method for resizing a window area and an electronic device using the same. To achieve this, when an expansion event occurs to expand a window area, the method and the electronic device expand the window area in response to the expansion event to automatically provide a user with an expanded window area without requiring the user to perform a separate operation for expanding the window area, thereby improving user convenience.
