<p>PURPOSE: A data channel connection method for a packet data service and a wireless packet network using the same are provided to improve the shortage of IP resources, thereby effectively preventing stoppage of a packet data service due to disconnection of packet connection. CONSTITUTION: Connection of a data channel is requested from the first portable terminal(200). The connection of the data channel is requested to the second portable terminal with a virtual IP(210) using a paging channel. PPP(Point to Point Protocol) connection is set between the second portable terminal and a wireless packet network(220). An IP for a packet data service is allocated to the second portable terminal(230).</p> |
