The present invention relates to an apparatus to automatically control the speed of a vehicle. The automatic vehicle speed control apparatus includes: a driving tendency determination control unit which determines the tendency of a driver by receiving driving date of a vehicle from electric control units (ECU) included in the vehicle; a speed control time generation control unit which controls the speed of a smart cruise controller (SCC) by receiving the driving data of the vehicle from the ECUs included in the vehicle and receiving the tendency value of the driver from the driving tendency determination control unit; a display/voice control unit which guides driving data, driving tendency information, and result information of the control of the SCC device by the speed control time generation control unit through visual or audio means; and a control result transmitting/monitoring unit which monitors the controlled result of the SCC device or driving data generated during the operation process of a smart cruise device and transmits the monitored result and data to the driving tendency determination control unit. |
