<p>The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling side mirrors, capable of automatically adjusting the position of a side mirror located on at least one of left and right sides by determining lane change or vehicle rotation according to a driving speed of a vehicle when a turn signal is inputted. The device comprises: a determining unit which determines whether a turn signal is inputted from vehicle information collected during vehicle driving; a mode determining unit which identifies a driving speed of a vehicle if the turn signal is inputted and determines a control mode of side mirrors according to the driving speed; and a driving unit which adjusts the position of a left side mirror or a right side mirror according to the turn signal if the control mode of the side mirrors is determined to a lane change mode and adjusts positions of the left and right side mirrors if the control mode of the side mirrors is determined to a vehicle rotation mode.</p> |
