<p>PURPOSE: A device for providing a translation service using an encyclopedia and a method thereof are provided to connect a detailed link to a keyword in an automatic translation sentence while a translated sentence is displayed for a user, thereby providing background knowledge for automatic translation. CONSTITUTION: A detail information storing unit(140) stores detail information about a keyword. A translating unit(120) generates a translated sentence. A link connecting unit(130) checks a keyword in the translated sentence and searches detail information corresponding to the keyword to connect the searched information to a detail link. A display unit(150) displays detail information connected to the detail link by a request of a user while a translated sentence with the detail link is displayed. The display unit generates a popup window by a request of the user to display the detail information.</p> |
