The method comprises: deploying one or more booms to a location in a body of water, wherein each of the booms has a floating section that is partially disposed in the body of water and extends out of the body of water, a skirt and ballast section beneath the floating section, and an anchor section that secures the boom at a relatively fixed location, wherein at least one of the one or more booms has a boom monitoring section that includes a measurement component. |
