1. An encoding apparatus comprising:
a dividing unit configured to divide an image into tiles according to each of display screen sizes; a determining unit configured to determine, for each of the tiles, a reference region to be searched for a prediction pixel block when performing encoding; an encoder configured to, when encoding a predetermined coding target block, search for a prediction pixel block from the reference region determined and corresponding to a predetermined tile including the predetermined coding target block, and performs prediction coding for the coding target block based on a difference between the predetermined coding target block and the found prediction pixel block; and a processing unit configured to process encoded data so as to independently perform decoding for each of the tiles. |
