Provided is a component mounting device such that the accuracy of component pick-up is improved without a delay in cycling time. For this purpose, the component mounting device is provided with: a feeder (21), removably placed onto a base (41), capable of sending a first carrier tape and a second carrier tape to a component supplying location (21a) continuously and without splicing; a moving stage (45), movable within an X-Y plane relative to the base; a component placement head (48), supported by the moving stage, holding a pick-up nozzle for picking up a component that has been supplied to the component supplying location; an imaging device (46), supported by the moving stage, for imaging the component that has been supplied to the component supplying location; identification means (step S110) for causing the imaging device, prior to pick-up of the first component after switching from the first carrier tape to the second carrier tape, to image the component so as to identify the center of the component; and a correction control means (step S112) for correcting, on the basis of the identification by the identification means, the moving stage position so that the center of the component is picked up by the pick-up nozzle. |
