Provided is a method for manufacturing solar cells that can prevent melting of a second conductive layer when forming a plating layer that forms part of a collector electrode. Also provided is a plating jig that can be used in this method for manufacturing solar cells. Also provided is a plating device that can use this plating jig. The plating jig has a power source connecting unit that is electrically connected with an external power source and a power supply unit that supplies power to a substrate to be plated. The plating jig makes the power supply unit contact a first conductive layer and affixes the substrate to be plated in a state of a large part or all of the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer being immersed in a plating solution. Furthermore, a plating layer is formed by supplying power to the first conductive layer via the power supply unit in a state electrically limited to an extent that does not charge the surface of the second conductive layer with a positive charge. |
