<p>This invention provides an electricity-generating device that, in an emergency that requires an expander to be stopped suddenly, can let the working fluid escape without the electricity-generating device breaking down. In this electricity-generating device (1), steam flowing through a supply channel (11) is supplied to a scroll expander (2), driving said scroll expander (2) so as to generate electricity via an induction generator (3) connected to the scroll expander (2). A bypass channel (13) that forms a bypass from the supply channel (11) to a discharge channel (12) for the scroll expander (2) is provided between said supply channel (11) and discharge channel (12). A first isolation valve (41) is provided in the supply channel (11) upstream of the point (A) where the bypass channel (13) branches off from the supply channel (11), and a bypass valve (42) is provided in the bypass channel (13).</p> |
