Provided is a tightening structure for a cylinder head bolt, the tightening structure being configured so that, after being tightened, the cylinder head bolt always has substantially constant axial force applied thereto. A cylinder head bolt (8) passed through a cylinder head (1) is engaged with an engine case (2) comprising a cylinder (3) and a crank case (4), thereby fastening the cylinder head (1) to the engine case (4). A flat washer (11) and a spring member (10), which is superposed on the flat washer (11) and which axially generates spring force, are arranged between a rotation operation section (8a) provided to the head (80) of the cylinder head bolt (8) and the upper surface of the cylinder head (1). The frictional resistance between the rotation operation section (8a) of the cylinder head bolt (8) and the spring member (10) is set to be lower than the frictional resistance between the spring member (10) and the flat washer (11) and also to be lower than the frictional resistance between flat washer (11) and a seat surface (1b) on the cylinder head (1). |
