A system and method for generating a local group and enhancing a personal importance over a social networking platform is disclosed. The method comprises registering a user over the social networking platform comprising a personal information and a professional information of the user. During registration the user selects a registered mobile number, updates a timeline of the user, and uploads a plurality of status updates, images, audio files, video, blogs and weblinks on the timeline. A number for likes and dislikes over a registered user's blogs, images and weblinks is generated along with allocation of a positive credit for each like and a negative credit for each dislike over the registered user's blogs, images and weblinks and display of a highest credited user details over a homepage of a local group page and a global group of the social networking platform. |
