摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a ceramic honeycomb structure which collects nanoparticles significantly influencing the number of particles discharged, even in a state before deposition of PM at the beginning of use of a ceramic honeycomb filter, including cases of using an unused ceramic honeycomb filter and using a ceramic honeycomb filter again after a regeneration treatment, so as to improve the collection ratio based on the number of PM particles and reduces the extent of deterioration of pressure loss characteristics when PM is collected and accumulated.SOLUTION: A method of producing a ceramic honeycomb structure includes a step of extrusion-molding a green body comprising a ceramic raw material and a pore-forming material into a specified molding and drying and baking the molding. The green body contains 2-20 mass% of the pore-forming material to 100 mass% of the ceramic raw material, and the pore-forming material has a median size of 5-70 μm. The pore-forming material consists of solid or hollow resin particles having an inorganic powder on their surface.
