PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even a person having no experience to determine normal/abnormal of an operation of an electromagnetic brake, and to capture a sign of abnormality.SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnostic device for an electromagnetic brake 1 having first and second plungers 2a, 2b sucked by feeding power to a brake coil 5 includes: a plurality of laser displacement meters 14a-14h for measuring a plunger movement amount and movement time at the suction time; a storage device 11 for storing the measurement result of the laser displacement meters 14a-14h; and an analyzing device 12 for determining presence/absence of abnormality based on the measurement result stored in the storage device 11.
