摘要 According to one embodiment, a solid-state imaging device includes a storage unit configured to temporarily store digital data received via an encoder and to output the digital data via a decoder, and a calculation unit configured to calculate the digital data received from the storage unit via the decoder and to output the resultant data. The encoder encodes the digital data so as to subtract a predetermined level+1 level from data included in the digital data and having a luminance level higher than the predetermined level. The decoder decodes the digital data so as to add the predetermined level+1 level to data included in the digital data, having a luminance level, and resulting from a subtraction of the predetermined level+1 level carried out by the encoder.
