The present invention relates to a method for executing an application of an electronic device comprising: a step for selecting input data by using first user input received to a user interface unit; a step for displaying an application menu on the user interface unit; a step for selecting a temporary application by receiving second user input for the application menu; a step for determining the attribute of the input data based on the selected application; a step for determining a function performed in the application according to the attribute of the input data; and a step for executing the determined function by using the input data in the application.
