PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve basic characteristics of an inner liner, to reduce the weight of a tire, to improve steering stability, and to reduce rolling resistance.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes an inner liner 9 which comprises a first layer IL1 having thickness of 0.05 mm or more and 0.6 mm or less and comprising a first elastomer composition containing a styrene-isobutylene-styrene triblock copolymer in an amount of 60 mass% or more and 99.5 mass% or less and a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer in an amount of 0.5 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less, and a second layer IL2 having thickness of 0.01 mm or more and 0.3 mm or less and comprising a second elastomer composition containing at least one of a styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymer and a styrene-isobutylene diblock copolymer. The second layer IL2 is arranged so as to come into contact with a rubber layer 6a of a carcass ply 6. When the diameter of a cord of the carcass ply 6 is denoted by D, distance L to the second layer IL2 is 0 mm or more and (1+D/2) mm or less. |
