PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of stably and accurately acquiring a predictive value.SOLUTION: A prediction device for calculating a predictive value of a prediction item that is an item relating to a design article includes: a storage unit in which a plurality of pieces of actual information having an actual values of the prediction item and design values of a plurality of design items by which the actual value was obtained are stored; a first evaluation model generation unit which uses a part of the actual information and takes at least one of the design items as an explanatory variable to generate a plurality of first evaluation models for calculating a predictive value of the prediction item; a parameter selection unit which selects a design item most frequently used in the first evaluation models; a prediction model generation unit which takes the selected design item as an explanatory variable to generate a prediction model for calculating a predictive value of the prediction item; a predictive value calculation unit which calculates a predictive value from the prediction model and values of the design items; and an output unit which outputs the calculated predictive value.
