<p>This invention relates to a method and system for authentication of users of a computer or computerized system, based on gestures performed by such users. A symbol containing a computer-readable code is stored in a memory of a computer, and a pattern corresponding to the symbol is produced, when the user is holding the symbol on a substrate in a reading position. The symbol is validated as the computer- readable code, whereafter a series of position changes of the symbol performed by the user in front of a sensing means is recorded. The recorded series of position changes is compared with sequences of positions stored in the system and associated with said symbol, and access is provided to the user if a match between the recorded series and said stored sequences of positions is found.</p> |
