<p>Disclosed are an image processing method and apparatus using a shared memory. A method for calculating an edge of an image comprises the steps of duplicating pixel information included in an image processing target block and neighboring pixel information of the image processing target block to a first memory, calculating an edge based on the pixel information of the image processing target block and the neighboring pixel information, and duplicating the calculation result of an edge to a second memory to determine edge information of the image processing target block. The number of times of accessing a memory region unnecessarily repeatedly is reduced, thereby enhancing an image processing rate.</p> |
