PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing time control device which can be brought into a lock state in a short time irrespective of any cases that a clearance between a lock member and a recess is small, and a detection error occurs.SOLUTION: In a valve opening/closing time control device, a control part performs control for changing a relative rotation phase on the basis of a requirement for changing the relative rotation phase to a lock state from a lock released state in a state that the relative rotation phase is in the lock released state, and also in a state that a lock member out of a first lock member and a second lock member which is fit into a first recess or a second recess formed at a guide groove is located at a side opposite to a side at which the guide groove is formed with respect to the recess. By this constitution, the relative rotation phase is changed until it is brought into a first stop state. After the relative rotation phase is brought into the first stop state, the control part performs the control for changing the relative rotation phase by inverting a change direction of the relative rotation phase, and thereby the relative rotation phase is changed until it is brought into a second stop state. |
