The computing device also includes a processor to execute the instructions to perform operations that include receiving data representing a portion of a graphical object, and receiving data representative of one or more environmental conditions. For the portion of the graphical object, operations include defining a field of scalar values for presenting the graphical object on a display. Each scalar value is based on a distance between the portion of the graphical object and a corresponding point. Operations also include calculating one or more visual property values based on the scalar values and the one or more environmental conditions, and presenting the graphical object using the calculated visual property values of the field.
