Provided is a method for producing a sulfide solid electrolyte, which is capable of preventing deterioration of a sulfide solid electrolyte and improving the lithium ion conductivity. In a crystallization step wherein a sulfide solid electrolyte is subjected to a heat treatment, the atmospheric concentration of an oxygen-containing organic compound is set to 100 ppm or less.
