This environmental power generation device is provided with a power generation element which generates power, an storage capacitor which stores power generated in the power generation element, a DC/DC converter which converts the voltage obtained from power generated in the power generation element and power stored in the capacitor to a desired voltage value, a delay unit which delays a voltage corresponding to the voltage of the storage capacitor, and a control unit which operates so as to output an operation signal for starting the DC/DC converter when the delayed voltage is higher than a reference voltage. By means of this environmental power generation device, a required output voltage can be obtained.
