The invention relates to a production method and a honeycomb composite panel according to which two honeycomb structures (5, 6) are assembled along one of the connecting edges of said structures above a step (22) in a skin of variable thickness (20). A bevel (23) is produced under the connecting edge of at least one honeycomb structure (6). At least one other honeycomb structure (5) is arranged on the skin (20) in such a way as to overhang the step (22), and the at least one bevelled structure (6) is then glued to the skin, beyond (27) the step and in abutment against at least the other structure (5).
