METHOD FOR PREPARING CELLULOSE ETHER

Disclosed is a method for preparing cellulose ether. The disclosed method for preparing cellulose ether comprises the steps of: (a) putting cellulose and a reaction medium into a reactor; (b) further putting an alkalifying agent into the reactor to transform the cellulose into alkalified cellulose; (c) further putting an etherizing agent into the reactor to transform the alkalified cellulose into cellulose ester; (d) further putting acid into the reactor to decrease the pH level of the contents in the reactor, which are obtained after completing step (c); and (e) further putting an oxidizing agent into the reactor to increase the chromaticity of cellulose ether obtained in step (d). Through this, cellulose ether having improved chromaticity can be obtained.
