The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a housing (12, 14), which housing (12, 14) is arranged to accommodate a medicament container (18), a drive unit (26) operably arranged to act on said medicament container (18) for expelling a dose of medicament, the drive unit comprising a plunger rod (28), a force element (32) operably connected to said plunger rod (28), a connector (40) arranged to releasibly hold said plunger rod, an actuator element (66) operably arranged to said connector (40) and a manually operable actuator (68) arranged to act on said actuator element (66) for releasing said connector (40) when operated. The invention is characterised in a safety device (54) arranged to releasibly hold said actuator element (66)in a locking position with said connector (40), preventing unintended release of said plunger rod (28). |
